Dontai joined Macclesfield for an undisclosed fee in October 2024 from FC United of Manchester, where he’d impressed over a three-year spell, making 75 appearances and scoring 19 goals at Broadhurst Park. The pacy forward also spent two seasons with West Didsbury and Chorlton after initially starting his career at Altrincham. Most recently, he spent three months on loan at Warrington Town in the NPL Premier Division.
