Author: Taran Dhamrait - Fri 15 May 26We’re delighted to confirm that Ruben Jerome will remain at Bower Fold for the 2026/27 season.
The striker enjoyed an outstanding first season with the club following his arrival from Bury last summer, finishing as Celtic’s top scorer with 19 goals in all competitions, while also contributing 12 assists.
Ruben arrived at the club with a proven goalscoring pedigree after helping Bury secure promotion during the 2024/25 season and showed his eye for goal immediately, after netting on his debut away at Vauxhall Motors.
Prior to that, he enjoyed prolific spells with Emley and Workington, scoring 39 goals as Emley won the NCEL Premier Division title and netting 38 goals in 66 appearances for Workington during another promotion-winning period.
After agreeing to stay at Bower Fold for another season, Ruben said: “I’m delighted to be staying for another year.
“The season just gone was a tough one to take coming as close as we did, but the support from the fans throughout the year was unbelievable.
“I want to help the club go one better this season.”
Welcome back Ruben!
