Stalybridge Celtic is thrilled to share that midfielder Ellis Horan has signed a permanent contract with the Club until the end of the 2025-26 season!

The 19-year-old fans favourite has had a breakout year at Celtic, scoring five goals and creating eight in his first full season with Celtic.

Signed by Jon Macken at the start of 2025, Ellis went on to make his first team debut in April 2025 against Wythenshawe Town.

After signing a contract with the Club, Ellis said: “I’m really happy to sign with the Club for the rest of the season. This season so far has been interesting, we are in a really good position to reach the play-offs which is our aim.

”This season personally has been class so far, I’m playing consistently and doing well and hopefully I just keep improving and keep on playing well week in week out to help the team.”

Jon Macken added: “I’m really pleased Ellis has signed a contract with us for the rest of the season. He’s grown into a key player for the team and is doing really well in his first season of NPL football.

”At 19, we know he’s got the ability and determination to develop even more, so we’re delighted he’s staying with us and we’re pleased to be able to help him continue to get even better.”
