Stalybridge Celtic has completed the signing of Andy Scarisbrick from National League North side Marine for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old experienced attacking midfielder joins the Club after spending the second half of last season at Marine, helping them to secure their NLN status.

Having won promotion and the FA Vase with Warrington Rylands, Andy has also played for Prescot Cables, Bootle and Bury and has become a standout player in non-league football. Known for his goals and creativity, Andy has excelled throughout his career and is a coup for the Club.

After completing his transfer to Celtic, Andy says: I’m really excited to join Stalybridge Celtic, a club I’ve come up against a lot over the years and to be working with Jon and his team. I’m really good mates with some of the squad so can’t wait to get playing alongside them again.“

Manager Jon Macken added: “This is a really good signing for the Club and I’m thrilled Andy is joining us. He’s a top player who will slot in to our squad really well. It’s a credit to the Club that we’ve been able to attract Andy to join us and I can’t wait to see him out on the pitch for us.”

Andy will join up with Celtic’s squad next week ahead of the NPL West season.
