We are delighted to announce that Stalybridge-based commercial cleaning equipment and chemical-free weed control supplier, GTS Cleaning Equipment has extended its partnership with the town’s non-league football club, Stalybridge Celtic for a further season.

As part of this exciting partnership, GTS provides the club with cleaning equipment and materials to keep its Bower Fold stadium safe and attractive to the thousands of supporters that visit throughout the season, as well as staff to assist the club’s volunteers with regular stadium clean-ups.

Established in 1992, GTS has built up an outstanding reputation across the North West of England and today holds accounts with world renowned manufacturers such as Karcher, Nilfisk and Ehrle and the best of the best UK manufacturer in Mac International. GTS’s enviable portfolio includes contracts with many local and national companies and authorities.

More recently, the company has expanded into environmentally friendly alternative weeding control solutions with the launch last year of its new brand Enviroweed, which has enabled it to partner with companies such as Weedingtech and Kersten, who are both at the forefront of chemical-free safe weed control globally.

The partnership with Celtic enables GTS to enjoy back of first team shirt sponsorship rights, as well as on all replica shirts too, and the Club’s new 2024/25 playing kits due to be unveiled next month will see the GTS brand on the back of the home shirts and the EnviroWeed brand on the back of the away shirts.

Rick Walton, managing director of GTS Cleaning Equipment, said: “We are proud and thrilled to renew our partnership with Stalybridge Celtic for another season and will look to do so for many more. We have loved playing our part under the new regime at Bower Fold and the way the club, under the new owners and backroom staff, is looking to progress not only in football terms but off the pitch by improving the fan experience, growing local connections and giving back to the community too. The future at Stalybridge Celtic looks bright (as does the stadium thanks to our equipment) and we couldn’t be happier to help where we can along the way.”

Stalybridge Celtic’s Commercial Director, Steve Dewsnip, said: “This is a great partnership for us and we are very grateful to Rick and his team at GTS and EnviroWeed for their continuing support. It is a credit to them and our growing band of volunteers how great the stadium looks each season. Rick is a regular visitor to both our home and away games and we are looking forward to working with him again throughout the season.”

The Club recently released its new commercial brochure setting out many different ways in which businesses can engage and partner with Celtic. If you would also like to become part of the Club’s exciting journey, please contact Steve on commercial@stalycelticfc.co.uk.
