We’re pleased to have sealed the loan signing of goalkeeper Luke Hewitson from Premier League side Liverpool.

Luke has progressed through the ranks at Liverpool, having signed from Sunderland in 2019. Now part of the Reds U21’s side, Luke has already gained impressive experience playing 12 games in the U18 Premier League and also playing in the UEFA Youth League, making his debut in the Quarter-Final against Juventus in Italy.

Manager James Kinsey says: “With Elliot getting sent off last week, we had to move fast. We really appreciate Liverpool assisting us with this and we’re hopeful of building a positive relationship with them moving forward.

“Luke trained with us last night and although he’s young, he’s a very good goalkeeper. He has had some unbelievable experience and we’re hoping that he can join the list of players that have played here in the past and gone on to big things.”

Luke joins ahead of Saturday's Emirates FA Cup tie at Runcorn Linnets.
