We’re delighted to confirm the double signing of Bruno Filipe and Bebeto Gomes who join the club from Pilkington FC.

The duo featured in Celtic’s pre-season friendly with Salford City B, with Bebeto starting the game as Trialist B and Bruno coming off the bench as Trialist E.

Bruno is a technical midfielder who was also part of Pilkington’s title winning side. Having also stood out playing for Daisy Hill, the midfielder went on to have a successful campaign last year for Pilkington. Featuring for Celtic during pre-season, Bruno also played against the club and scored Ashton United’s equaliser in the Keith Trudgeon Memorial Trophy fixture at Bower Fold.

James Kinsey added: “Bruno has fantastic technical ability and will provide us with another option in midfield.

“He’s another who has had a lot of clubs after him this summer. It’s up to him to really push on now and bring strong performances to the table. He’s a technical player that can create something out of nothing.”

Bebeto is a versatile player who can play at full-back or as a winger. Originally from Portugal, Bebeto has played for Stockport Town, Radcliffe, Daisy Hill and most recently Pilkington FC, part of the side crowned champions of the NCWFL First Division last year.

James Kinsey said: “Bebeto is a player that can play in numerous positions. He’s a real threat in one v one situations and can defend really well too. He’s keen to push on and we’ve seen that he has a high work rate already!”

Welcome to Celtic, Bruno and Bebeto!
