Celtic can confirm the signing of pacy forward Jacques Etia!

The 20-year-old striker came through the youth system at Rotherham United before a spell with Sheffield FC and then Ollerton Town where he scored 11 goals in 29 games during the 2021-22 season.

Jacques’ form saw him join Ashton United last summer. He departed on loan to Glossop North End in September where he remained for the remainder of last season, scoring six times in the NPL West.

Manager James Kinsey was impressed with Jacques’ work rate last season, he said: “Jacques is a player who I watched a few times last season. He’s got ridiculous pace and is a strong player for his size too. There’s some areas that he needs to work on but he is keen to learn and has shown a lot of potential in training already.

“He will work his socks off for the team and will score goals for us this year, which is exactly what supporters love to see.”

Welcome to Celtic, Jacques!
