Stalybridge Celtic is pleased to confirm the signing of versatile 23-year-old Omar Ibrahim!

Omar, who can play at left-back or in central midfield arrives at Bower Fold after making 20 appearances for Flint Town in the Welsh Premier League.

Omar has also played for Radcliffe and Norrvalla FF in Finland before joining Flint Town last summer.

After signing for Celtic, Omar told the club: “I’m really happy to join a great club. I’m ready to help the club have a successful season!”

James Kinsey has been impressed with Omar’s standards in training, he said: “Omar became available after finishing last season in the Welsh Premier League. A few people had recommended him to us and they’re people that I trust. We invited him in for pre-season and his standards have been superb.

“He can play at left-back, or central midfield so offers us a few options, and he is one of the fittest in the group so far.

“He’s keen to really push on here, and we’re happy he has chosen to come and play his football here.”
