We’re thrilled to confirm that Ethan Padden will enter his third season at Celtic after agreeing to extend his stay with the club!
The fans favourite has made 59 appearances for the club since signing in July 2021 and he’ll now enter a third season with the club as we begin an exciting new era.
After his re-signing was made official, Ethan wrote the following message to the Celtic supporters:
To the fans,
I’m so glad to be commencing into my third season for Stalybridge Celtic FC.
The history, ground and amazing fan base of this club is the reason I’m so looking forward to coming back.
I feel as though the fans have had a hard time over the last few years years with losses in several ways and I am more determined than ever to give my all in a Celtic shirt for everyone part of the club.
The fans and club have been great with me and the new project is something that we can all look forward too and work hard towards.
I can’t wait to see everyone back out there! 💙

Manager James Kinsey added: “Ethan is somebody we’ve heard great things about. He was keen to stay and nail down a place at the club which for us, is invaluable.
“He’s of a good age and has the desire to develop. We’re really happy he’s decided to stick around and help us push the club forwards.â€
Ethan made his debut for the club in August 2021 in a 2-0 win over Morpeth Town after first signing from Buxton.

Starting his career at Chesterfield, he’s also spent time with Glossop North End and had a brief loan spell with Kidsgrove.
Ethan made his 50th appearance for the club in February 2023 and is now just one off making 60 games for the club.
We’re delighted to have you back, Ethan!
