On Saturday, Celtic enter the FA Cup away at Tadcaster Albion. Tadcaster are currently eleventh in the Northern Counties East Premier Division. Kick off is 3pm.
Tadcaster lost on the opening day to Dearne and District, Dearne and District won promotion last season. Since then, Tadcaster have been unbeaten, though they have had three draws. They drew with Thackley and (most recently) Frickley in the league, and with Glossop North End in the FA Cup, forcing that game to a repay, which Tadcaster won 2-0, in Glossop. Last season, Tadcaster finished fourth with seventy-one points, losing out in the Play Off final to Beverley, after knocking out Sheffield in the semi-final on penalties. So far this season, with three goals in all competitions, Oliver Green is leading their goal-scoring chart.
This is our first visit to Tadcaster, at least in the last forty years, the two teams having no meetings in the website database.
